Meet our team – Anu

As you know, employees are our greatest assets and the heart of our business. As part of our new ‘Meet the team’ series, we’re introducing the people behind the scenes, from the finance team who run the business side of things to our Digital Manufacturing Consultants and Analysts, who guide our clients through the RAISE™ process, to the technically skilled Software Developers and MES Engineers who develop innovative, business-focused digital solutions.

Introducing Anu, Senior Software Developer. Anu joined Cimlogic as a Software Developer in 2013, her first role in the industry after completing a Masters degree in Computer Science. In 2021, Anu was promoted to Senior Software Developer and is currently an integral part of a dedicated service support team for a global manufacturing client.

Tell us about your Cimlogic journey

I joined Cimlogic straight from graduating from the University of Sheffield, back when the Cimlogic base was in Baildon Mills. Being my first job from University I was excited to learn more about the software development industry and I was added to the TrakSYS development team. I have been involved in a number of different projects over the years and have seen growth in many of my skillsets.

What skills are fundamental to your role?

I believe problem-solving is the key skill fundamental for software development. To be able to take a customer’s requirement and work out how to solve that problem, using technical knowledge, is crucial for supporting the customer’s goals and ensuring they achieve business value.

Have you worked with mentors within the company who have had a positive impact on your career? 

Yes absolutely, in the early years of my career I have worked with all of the seasoned senior developers. They have all been patient with the questions I had and were supportive whenever I needed extra help with a task or assignment. Their great mentorship made me feel a part of the team.

What has been the highlight of working at Cimlogic? 

The highlights are the work socials when we can really let our hair down and enjoy events together as a team. I specifically enjoyed the escape room Christmas do we had, it was lots of fun and we got to use our problem-solving muscles also – which was a plus!
