Vacancy: Software Support Engineer – USA

Cimlogic is currently recruiting for an experienced Software Support Engineer to join our technical team in the USA, ideally in one of the following areas: Michigan, Ohio, Philadelphia, Up State NYC, Chicago, Wisconsin or Indianapolis. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced individual with a track record of success, looking to further their career. You will make up part of a global technical team focused on delivering digital manufacturing solutions to FTSE100 and Fortune 500 companies.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Degree level education preferred, or equivalent industrial experience
  • Desired software skills: SQL Server, C#, ASP .Net, HTML/CSS, JavaScript
  • Desired IT skills: Server setup, networking, IT administration, troubleshooting
  • Experience of working in a service delivery team, ITIL structured preferably
  • Experience in MES / MOM domain preferred: e.g.: Dispatching, Scheduling, Resource Allocation, Document Control, Performance Analysis, Labour Management, Maintenance, Process and Quality Management, Data Collection
  • Good problem-solving skills (technical): experience of troubleshooting, fault finding and fixing in operational/production environments
  • Real-life experience and history of delivering MES/MOM solutions preferred

Role Responsibilities

  • Build lasting relationships with our clients
  • Work with our clients and the support team to identify areas of improvement (technical, procedural, etc.)
  • Resolve support tickets ensuring root cause and preventative measures have been identified and implemented
  • Debug and fix code as and when needed, as well as providing deployments and patches to our clients
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles
  • Understand and drive preventative measures within a problem management framework
  • Replicate client issues and test changes on internal environments to diagnose and repair without jeopardising client data or operations
  • Participate in daily scrums and provide status updates and estimations to the Operations Lead
  • Stay up to date regarding current programming technologies and current MES/MOM developments and trends
  • Assist Operations Leads and Project Managers in the estimation of technical tasks for both support work and projects
  • Any other additional duties as required to fulfil the role
