Cimlogic launch new industry 4.0 solution at the factories of the future expo to help manufacturers of all sizes move forward with Industry 4.0
15 February 2017
Cimlogic, the experts in Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) solutions will launch their new Industry 4.0 technology solution on stand G25 at the Industry 4.0 Summit, featuring the factories of the future expo, at the Manchester Central Convention Complex on 4th – 5th April 2017.
The Industry 4.0 Summit, organised by GB Media is a two-day event showcasing hundreds of innovations to help manufacturers digitise and upgrade operations, to enable them to achieve Industry 4.0 status of manufacturing.
Cimlogic will showcase their Industry 4.0 offering, which involves the planning of an Industry 4.0 strategy, resulting in the creation of a comprehensive Manufacturing Transformation Strategy. The four steps to implementing Industry 4.0 technologies include the following: Industry 4.0 Benchmark Assessment; Performance and Infrastructure Audit; Insight and Capability Analysis Report and Manufacturing Transformation Strategy. For more information visit the Cimlogic Industry 4.0 resource webpage or download the Industry 4.0 Brochure.
Also displayed on the stand will be a rotating bottling line product demonstration unit, which collects and displays real-time production line data operated by OEE Express, which is powered by Parsec’s TrakSYS software.
Industry 4.0 technologies will enable manufacturers to have full visibility of operations and allow them to be responsive to information about raw materials, inventory, quality, waste, output and customer demands, ensuring that opportunities for improvement are highlighted and action is taken. Adopting such available Industry 4.0 technologies will help manufacturers respond to ever changing market conditions to future proof manufacturing operations and to drive sustainable growth and innovation.
The recently published Industrial Strategy by HM Government, presents the 10 Pillars to building an Industrial Strategy, which includes ‘investing in science, research and innovation’ and ‘driving growth across the whole country’. Investing in innovative technologies such as Industry 4.0 will no doubt drive the long-term growth in productivity that the government is striving for. Read the green paper here.
Steve Wilkinson, Chief Technology Officer at Cimlogic says: “We’re really excited about exhibiting at The Industry 4.0 Summit, a leading event showcasing a host of the very latest Industry 4.0 technological innovations in the manufacturing industry. It’s an ideal place for us to meet with manufacturers to discuss challenges in the sector such as; embracing IIoT technologies, automating operations, cyber security and big data analytics.
There’s pressure on manufacturers to increase operational efficiency to remain competitive and innovative as market conditions remain challenging and are changing faster than ever before. To react to changing market conditions quickly and effectively manufacturers need to begin adapting to Industry 4.0 technologies. However, some manufacturers do not feel their operations are big enough to adapt, others feel overwhelmed with the pace of change – anticipating large capital expenditure for which budgets do not exist. So where are SMEs currently in their technological journey? Historically, the limiting factors for SMEs adopting new technologies, such as cost and maintenance has held them back. However, the Industry 4.0 technologies that are emerging CAN be viable for small and medium manufacturers.”
Steve will be discussing this topic further at the Open Technology Forum within the Industry 4.0 Summit. Attend the presentation “Playing Catch-up: How industry 4.0 technologies can enable SMEs to bring their Manufacturing Operations Management up to speed” to help implement a successful Industry 4.0 strategy.
