Control Systems Engineer (Competitive Salary + Overtime)
Reporting to the ‘Automation Director’. Undertake specific Project Management & Control systems activities, such as Electrical Design, Development of PLC code, HMI and SCADA applications, commissioning and support on site, and testing in office as required. Maintain adequate documentation and records. Testing and Simulation of PLC and SCADA applications as required.
You will need to be a self starter, motivated, and ready to move up to the next exciting level in your career. Because we work with the UK's biggest Blue Chip Manufacturers, we expect you to be customer facing, have excellent communication and leadership skills, and be able to spot technical and commercial opportunities, and discuss with clients at any level. Technical Requirements:-
We would be delighted to hear from anyone with some or all of the following experience:-
- 2 – 8 Years Control systems/Automation experience, preferably with SI or Manufacturing background.
- Extensive Electrical Design & Significant Electrical Commissioning Experience
- PLC Programming Experience - (Preferably ControlLogix)
- Fieldbus, Comms, Profibus, DeviceNet, Ethernet
- HMI & SCADA Configuration Experience
- Experience of Food and Beverage or Pharma an advantage
- Able to manage electrical installation contractors and tenders.
- Experience of GAMP Documentation systems.
In addition the following is required for this position:-
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willing to work away from home, on customers sites approx 20 – 30% of time
