MES Solutions

“Keeping a competitive advantage, means having a fully integrated software solution, that bridges the gap between shop floor production and the boardroom”

Definition of MES

Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) manage and monitor work-in-process on the factory floor, including manual or automatic labour and production reporting, as well as on-line enquiries and links to tasks that take place on the production floor.

Manufacturing Execution Systems may include one or more links to work orders, receipt of goods, shipping, quality control, maintenance, scheduling or other related tasks.

MES is tailored for executing the volume production using the developed process.

Reasons to implement MES include:

  • Automate management of recipes (process manufacturers)
  • Scheduling, including the management of priorities
  • Production reporting
  • Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking
  • Event or exception management
  • Product or materials tracking
  • Intelligent decisions to influence production and cost management
  • Measure and manage Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Ease management of resources, including inventory and personnel

Overall, MES is the system between ERP and Plant floor control systems/devices. MES effectively links this two layer system together and allows them to speak to each other.

Customer Testimonials

"We were looking for a reliable way to track and trace our rework bins, Cimlogic gave us an RFID system which totally revolutionised the way we manage our rework, we now know exactly where each bin is at any time and the last operator to have handled it (via a card reader system). Impeccable service and excellent project delivery"
